Mateo Coronado

Mateo was born and raised in the small west Texas town of Snyder. He and his wife Amy have been married since June 2005. A lot of his musical upbringing is from a constant influence from his parents, Joe and Geneva, and two brothers, Pablo and Josue. He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2006 with a degree in Music Education.

Since graduating ACU, he has been teaching elementary music. “Music has been a big part of my life since I can remember, and I feel that I can best serve God and others by using this gift.” With musical influences like the Beatles, Billy Joel, and Christian artists such as Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Take 6 and The Acappella Company, Mateo has broadened his horizons as a singer and songwriter.
