Mateo Coronado
Vocal Part: Tenor
Mateo was born and raised in the small west Texas town of Snyder. He and his wife Amy have been married since June 2005. In 2009, the Lord blessed them with a new baby girl, Lilyana Mae. A lot of Mateo's musical upbringing is from a constant influence from his parents, Joe and Geneva, and two brothers, Pablo and Josue. He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2006 with a degree in Music Education.
Since graduating ACU, he has been teaching elementary music. “Music has been a big part of my life since I can remember, and I feel that I can best serve God and others by using this gift.” With musical influences like the Beatles, Billy Joel, and Christian artists such as Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Take 6 and The Acappella Company, Mateo has broadened his horizons as a singer and songwriter.
